How to Install Door Speaker:

Car doors are the common and most suitable place for speaker installation. Let’s start with this popular installation process. Here I am going to illustrate your door speaker installation of a Ford F250.

Step 1: Removing the Sail Panel ==>

The speaker installation starts with removing the sail panel. You will see a sail panel on the upper-right side of your left door. Using the trim panel tool you can easily remove it and then keep it in a safe place. When you remove the sail panel using a trim panel it seems it is damaging but doesn’t worry this sail panel sounds like this.

Step 2: Power Window Removing ==>

After removing the sail panel removes your power window or power door lock.  Try to release the clips attached to it then you can remove the whole power window pulling it upward. Usually, the power window has some connectors so remove those gently and keep it on a separate safe side.

Step 3. Remove 7-millimeter Screw ==>

There is a 7-millimeter screw inside the door panel. Remove this screw using the right piece of a screwdriver. Remember that, it is a crucial part of the door panel, so store it in the safest place.

Step 4: Remove Reflector Lens ==>

There is a reflector lens at the middle left side of the left door. You can remove this using any screwdriver. After removing the lens, you will see a screw inside it. Remove the screw using the perfect driver.

Step 5: Remove Door Panel ==>

Some door panel has retaining clips around the edge, but this model has no retaining clip.  As we have removed the screws and disconnected the connectors, and the door has no retaining clip simply lift the door panel off and keep it in a safe place.

Step 6: Remove Speaker Screws ==>

It’s time to remove the old speaker from the door panel. Remove the screws using the perfect driver and disconnect the harness of the speaker.

Step 7: New Speaker Installation ==>

I think you have a new speaker and a harness that suits your car. Each harness has two parts one side is for connecting with the car another side is for connecting with the speaker. The speaker side of the harness is called the female slide. Simply connect this female slide with the male one in the speaker. After connecting the harness, attach the speaker to the car using the screws. Sometimes you need to add a bracket to ensure the best fitting of the speaker if it requires using it.

Step 8: Repeat the Process ==>

To get your car door as fine as before just follow the reverse steps. Don’t forget to attach the right screw for the right part.

Rear speaker installation starts with the removal of the backseat. If you concentrate, you will see there are two hooks or tabs the beneath the horizontal slide of your backseat. Pull out those hooks then you can separate the horizontal slide of the backseat from the vertical slide. Keep this slide in a clean place. The vertical slide of the backseat is simply attached with two fasteners one on the right side and another on the left side.  Remove the fasteners and lift the slide out from the car. During lifting keeps the seatbelts aside.

Step 2: Rear Lid Off ==>

You will see some little fasteners fastening the rear lid of the car. To remove the rear lid, use a panel pooper. Gently select the fasteners and pop them up. Here you may have some flatheads carefully remove them using the best-fitted driver. Don’t forget to ensure the safe storage of these fasteners and flatheads.

Step 3: Remove Third Brake Light ==>

The brake lights usually have clips on the outside. If not, you will see the little cap. Take off the cap and find the Phillips head or 10 mi or whatever fasteners are holding the light down.

You don’t need to remove any clips or fasteners here. Just lift the brake light and disconnect the connectors from it. After lifting the brake light take off the relayed pulling it from the front side or gently lifting it.

Step 4: Uninstall the Speaker ==>

Uninstall the car speakers using the right angle with the drill. Remove the screws and connectors from the speaker.

Step 5: New Speaker Installation ==>

After removing the old speaker identify the negative power harness and the positive power harness. Connect your speaker using the right power harness with the car stereo system.

You may use a rubber around the speaker it will ensure perfect fluctuation of the tweeter and woofer and also guard you against unwanted sound. Cover your speaker woofer and tweeter using your hand during the screws’ attachment.
